When is the best time to visit Mauritius?

By  |

Mauritius is sunny and warm all year round (even the island’s winter has highs of around 25 degrees!) but when is the best time to visit Mauritius?

There is no ‘best time to visit Mauritius’ instead it depends on your personal choice and what you want from your holiday.

If you’re looking for that definite answer then read below to find out when is the best time to go in terms of the weather in Mauritius and the cost of flights, as both vary.

If you like it hot (around 28 degrees) November to March is the best time to visit Mauritius. These are the summer months for the island.

If you like it nice and warm but could still be hot (!) then September, October and April, May are the best times for you. It’s around 25 degrees.

If you like it comfortable and little bit kinder to your skin; June, July and August are the ideal months for you to visit Mauritius as the temps will still be a very respectable 23 degrees. These are the islands winter months so don’t forget to pack some trousers and light jumpers

However the daytime coastal temperatures could still be 25 degrees!

So whenever you go, you will enjoy warm – hot temperatures and the most amazing sunshine.

Cost of flights

The best time to visit Mauritius in terms of when you can get the cheapest flights varies throughout the year. Most expensive flights are in the summer holidays, Christmas holidays and New year.

£600 – £700 are the best prices you will get for return tickets to Mauritius. I usually fly between February and April to escape the cold British weather and get the cheaper priced tickets.

can you tell us what the hotel is like and how good is it’s location i think looking at leaflets can be deceptive?

Hello Glen! Sorry for the late reply, we’ve just seen this. We hope you had an amazing time in Mauritius. Staying for 10 days in March you will definitely experience hot sunshine. There could be a few days of rain (but you may completely miss any showers whilst you’re there!)

What transfeRs are needed from the airport?

How different is this from staying in a hotel?
